Burnsall is a good target for the first day's walk from Ilkley. The village, with its old stone bridge over the Wharfe, is full of character and not as busy as Appletreewick. The grammar school was founded in 1602. There is a hotel as well as several B&Bs. The Wharfe View Tea Rooms are open through the year.
A family-run, 16th century ferryman's inn, located next to the River Wharfe. Renowned for our excellent home-made food, featuring local products, lovingly prepared by our brigade of chefs. We offer a great range of hand-pulled ales and an extensive wine list. Cosy bedrooms, all en-suite with Molton Brown products, a selection of teas and freshly ground coffee, and home-made biscuits. A warm, friendly welcome awaits you.
