The Bolton Abbey Estate has been managed by the Devonshire family since 1755, and remains the Yorkshire seat of the 12th Duke of Devonshire. At the heart of the estate lies the priory Church and the ruins of an Augustinian priory. There are several hotels and B&Bs within the estate, as well as tea rooms, cafés and restaurants.
Based on the doorstep of the Dales, The Devonshire Arms Hotel and Spa, is one of England’s favourite country house hotels surrounded by some of the most beautiful countryside in England. Be it footpaths along the River Wharfe to the most spectacular ruins of the 12th century Bolton Priory. Traditions of a warm welcome and fine hospitality dating back to the 17th century continue to this day, and we pride ourselves on impeccable service and attention to detail.
