Nestling below the mass of Buckden Pike (702m / 2,303ft), Buckden is the last sizeable village that you pass on the way up Wharfedale. There is a shop, village restaurant and the well-known Buck Inn pub.
West Winds Cottage is right in the heart of Buckden in Upper Wharfedale, set in a delightful cottage garden and with views of the fells on all sides. Our position on the Dales Way and the Lady Ann Way makes the location just right for a one night stop, or stay a while longer and enjoy beautiful local walks, Dales pubs and villages. The owners, Angela and Paul, look forward to welcoming you with complimentary hot drinks and home made cake on arrival. The accommodation is self-contained, with a double bedroom and exclusive use bathroom. Single occupancy (at very reasonable rates) is also an option. Two further single rooms are available for members of the same group. We offer a delicious choice of breakfasts and packed lunches can also be provided.
