Newbiggin on Lune is a small village situated near the Coast to Coast route, with many direct routes to re-join the walk at Smardale Bridge for those wishing to split the walk between Shap and Keld. The village has The Lune Springs coffee shop serving a large selection of meals during the day and includes a well-stocked gift shop. Bessy Beck Trout Farm at the opposite end of the village has a coffee shop and a farm shop.
A warm and friendly welcome awaits you at Tranna Hill which enjoys a rural location on the fringe of the small village of Newbiggin On Lune.
