This tiny and isolated hamlet, right on the route, is centred around a former watermill in a narrow and very beautiful densely-wooded valley. There are B&Bs and camping possibilities, but no shop or pub.
Intake Farm is a working farm on the edge of the North Yorkshire Moors, providing bed, breakfast and evening meals for walkers and non-walkers alike. Both for single nights and longer stays. Local produce including home-reared beef and lamb is served as much as possible. It is a large farmhouse with plenty of room to relax in peaceful surroundings. Bedrooms are either en-suite or have large private bathrooms. Breakfast and evening meals are served at a time to suit our guests. You are welcome to explore the farm if you wish. Coast to Coast campers are also welcome.
