There used to be quite a lot of activity here as the drovers used to pass down the loch in boats carrying a cargo of cattle. Balmaha lies just to the south of The Great Highland Fault, which geologically marks the transition between the lowlands and the highlands; hence all the islands stretched out in a line going out into the Loch.
Ideally situated just 400m off the footpath in the village of Balmaha. Some rooms allocated may be in one of the cottages which are a short walk from the Inn.
