An attractive borders village with inn and shops. The St Cuthbert's Way path passes right through the village. On the summit of Morebattle Hill, half a mile south of the village, is the remains of an iron age hillfort.
The Templehall Inn is a quaint, whitewashed country inn. It has comfortable ensuite rooms which have been furnished and decorated to an extremely high standard.
