Beal is based on the crossroads where a lane runs down from the A1 towards Holy Island and the 125mph trains race between Edinburgh and the south. There is a hotel and a post office. You might need to look for accommodation here if you have not managed to coincide with the tides for the crossing to Lindisfarne. The Newcastle-Berwick bus service stops here, which might be useful for your homeward journey.
Fenham Farm is located on the coast, peacefully overlooking Holy Island in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Converting the farm buildings has created spacious en-suite rooms that are independent of the farmhouse. Enjoy modern comfort all round with feather down bedding, Egyptian cotton sheets and cosy underfloor heating. Delicious breakfast is served in the Granary using locally sourced products and our own hens' eggs. There is a large lounge with a spectacular view over to Holy Island.
