Sedbusk is another of Wensleydale’s picturesque stone hamlets. It is off the valley road, high on the hillside, overlooking the upper dale. It is overlooked in its turn by a scarred outcrop on the northern skyline. Seen from below the village looks like a single terrace of stone cottages, but it surprises by opening into a green edged street with geese and a handsome seat.
The Stone House Hotel is a beautiful, Edwardian country house overlooking the market town of Hawes in Wensleydale. With 24 quality bedrooms, delicious food and dream location, Stone House is the perfect choice for your stop-over when walking through the Dales. We are very close to the Pennine Way and Dales Way, not to mention many shorter routes around Wensleydale. After a day exploring the breathtaking scenery - return to the warmth and comfort of Stone House and enjoy a drink in the bar, oak room or library with log-fires, before choosing from our award winning dinner menu. A full Yorkshire breakfast the next morning will set you up for your walk and we can even send you on your way with a freshly prepared packed lunch.
