A pretty village that was used as a filming location for several episodes of 'All Creatures Great and Small' the television series based on the books of James Herriot, after whom the Herriot Way is named.
The Bolton Arms dates back to the 17th Century and was originally a farm it has long since been known as the meeting place in the village, where a welcoming convivial atmosphere awaits. There is a bar area and dining rooms, a roaring log burner, hand pulled ales and a comprehensive winelist. We also have beautifully appointed bedrooms offering all you need for a perfect nights sleep in sumptuous surroundings.
