The Cumbrian Way follows the south side of Great Langdale. Towards the end of the road along Great Langdale, just below the twin rock peaks known as the Langdale Pikes, are two hamlets, each with a hotel which shares its name with the hamlet. The first is New Dungeon Ghyll, and less than a mile later is Old Dungeon Ghyll, where the road and the bus route end.

The site offers a wide selection of grassy pitches suitable for families and friend groups, as well as a collection of wooden camping pods. This well-equipped site boasts toilet and shower blocks, washing-up areas, a laundry and drying room. Sticklebarn pub is just a 10-minute walk away.
