Rothbury is a traditional market town. Known as the Capital of Coquetdale, the town is built of the same sandstone as the rolling hills that surround it. PLEASE NOTE: Generally recommended to stay two nights in Rothbury as accommodation around Kirkwelpington is very limited, your baggage movement to Wall or Hexham will be charged as a double stage.
