The district or township of Blawith was apparently a woodland or forest district within the barony of Ulverston. The parish is pronounced Blaath which means wolf, once common in the area.

A small grassy site next to the farm with a gate onto the open fell, it is mostly flat with a stream running along one side. There are eight electric hook ups and a hardstanding area. Caravans, motorhomes and tents are all welcome, we are only a short detour from the Cumbria Way.
