The district or township of Blawith was apparently a woodland or forest district within the barony of Ulverston. The parish is pronounced Blaath which means wolf, once common in the area.
Please refer to the website for full camping information.A small grassy site next to the farm with a gate onto the open fell, it is mostly flat with a stream running along one side. There are eight electric hook ups and a hardstanding area. Caravans, motorhomes and tents are all welcome, we are only a short detour from the Cumbria Way.
