About Leckhampton There is a bus stop here.
The old Leckhampton has been swallowed up by the spread of Cheltenham. Your walk passes along Leckhampton Hill, a fine stretch of the Cotswold ridge offering views across Cheltenham and out to the Malvern Hills. Look out for the Devil`s Chimney. The edge along here was rigorously quarried at the end of the 18th century to built the nearby spa town, and the Devil`s Chimney is a tall rock pinnacle left behind by the diggers, local tradition has livelier explanations, of course, including one that says it`s a chimney in the roof of Hell.
