To assist you in the planning of your walk and to accompany you along the way, we recommend a selection of guidebooks that you can comfortably carry in a rucksack pocket or walking jacket.

The Cotswold Way by Mark Richards
This is an attractive guidebook, with quite a durable cover. For so thin a book, it contains a deceptively large amount of detailed information. Richards dispenses with sections, preferring to take the Way as a whole and to weave the route finding instructions into his personal commentary.

The Cotswold Way by Anthony Burton
The Aurum Press guides to long distance paths work to an effective formula. They are published in association with the Ordnance Survey.
Each section of the route finding instructions is written in the context of the accompanying 1:25,000 map printed in colour alongside it. The text contains reference numbers and letters to features of the walk to be identified on the maps. Working together in this way, text and map provide route-finding that you can feel comfortable with.
