Runswick Bay Hotel |
A welcoming place for me and my dog. There were some downsides, the shower was not working and the bath took ages to fill and used all the hot water - fortunately I was the only person staying. Did not have evening meal there. Breakfast OK. Rather expensive for one person (and dog) in fact the most expensive of my trip. Not great value.

Location is great, but welcome and sevice were terrible. Evening meal ; very disorganised service ,poor choice and standard of food.Room was OK but nothing special. Breakfast service and offerings disgraceful ; warm orange juice which they ran out of, no fresh fruit, one person taking orders, serving and preparing breakfast for 12 people! I would not stay here again or recommend. Far too expensive for the service offered.

A beautiful location, perfect for getting away from it all. Great pub grub, the staff are friendly and helpful. A good range of real ales and whiskies. The landlord can mix a pretty good cocktail too...

The new landlord, Robbie Jackson, made us feel welcome from the minute we arrived. A cosy, friendly pub with a good selection of items on the menu, all reasonably priced. Our family room was excellent, with the most comfortable beds we've slept on in a long time, just the job after a days walking. The harbour and beach are only a three minute walk down the hill, though it will take you a bit longer to walk back up. The Cleveland Way runs right past the property, so the location of this overnight rest is ideal. Highly recommended.
