Is the attractive end point on the East Loch Lomondshire road, and the West Highland Way continues along the Lochside. There are small beaches and secluded rocky peninsulas. You will find a lot of day trippers basking up here on a sunny day. There is another reason for alighting here from the West Highland Way: Ben Lomond (974m, 3195 feet), the most southerly of Scotlandís Munros (peaks over 3000ft). The ascent in reasonable conditions is a half day walk and fairly easy for normal mountain walkers. In season there are some ferries leaving from the pier which go up to Tarbet and Inverbeg on the west side of the Loch.
