Below the hotel here, the Inverarnan Canal was built around 1850, to bring the increasing Victorian Loch traffic up for drinks. Drovers are meant to have even gone all the way down to Norwich on occasion! The cattle were driven over the hills from Glen Fyne and then into the Balquhiddar or Glengyle valleys.

The Drovers Inn is a travel institution, world famous and a must for anyone visiting Loch Lomond or the West Highland Way. Built in 1705, the Drovers Inn has preserved its character and is well worth a visit
There is a with a wide selection of Scottish malt whiskies, beers and ales. Food is also served all day 7 days a week with a wonderful varied menu with lots of traditional homemade Scottish.

Location and supplementary information[view map] You will arrive at Beinglas Farm which is directly on the Way. Take a left off the Way, past the farm and cross the bridge that leads to the main (A82) road. Go left and walk along the road for a short distance until you arrive at the Drovers Inn on the left hand side of the road.

Access to Beinglas Farm Campsite is only permitted between 7.00am-11.00pm daily. If you require a late/early arrival or departure please let us know!
