About Bridge of Orchy
The famous bridge over the Orchy was built in conjunction with the military road in the 1750s. This was not one of the original droving stops because until the bridge was built the river was too ferocious to ford with cattle. There are Trains and buses to Glasgow and Fort William. There is a good pub hotel which serves walkers, The bar has a tiling so the rain water can run off your clothes and on to the floor!
