About Craster
A typical fishing village, most famous as the home of the Craster Kipper (smoked herring) which you will smell before you reach the village, if the wind is in the right direction. You can visit the sheds where the herrings are slowly smoked using oak wood chippings and a closely-guarded secret technique.
