Located closely is The Old Repeater Station, a large detached stone building near the most scenic part of Hadrian's Wall. The Old Repeater Station offers 3 star Visit Britain rated guest accommodation in the heart of a National Park within Northumberland. It is just 200 yards from Hadrian's Wall and provides an excellent base to explore the beautiful scenery and historic sites of Northumberland. Hadrian's Wall is minutes away and the famous sites of Housesteads, Vindolanda and Chesters are all within four to five miles. The historic market towns of Hexham and Haltwhistle are within eight miles. We are ideally situated for walkers and cyclists due to our close proximity to Hadrian's Wall. Drivers can leave their car here if preferred to visit sites along the Wall. The Hadrian's Wall bus service which calls at all the main Roman sites passes the front door. The Old Repeater Station is unique, a large detached stone building with a slate roof. The property makes extensive use of eco / green technology including geothermal heating and wood burning stoves. Our water comes from a private source for domestic usage and also heats the building via a ground source heat pump.
