The Parish Council is in negotiation with the community for the provision of a by-pass, which will doubtless bring relief to the village's old stone dwellings. One of them, the Old Hall, is now a three-storey house. There is a lovely terrace of stone cottages stepping down a gentle hillside away from the busy road.
