Malham

Beck Hall was built in 1710 and has been providing accommodation since the 1930's. Changes over the years mean that there are now 11 guest bedrooms, 9 double en-suite rooms and 2 twin room. Four of the rooms are 4-poster, the Green room plus Rooms 2, 6 and 9. We also have a spacious guest lounge where you can relax into the evening, plan the next days walks, or plot the 2 minute walk into Malham village to visit either of the fine pubs that will quench any thirst. On a colder winter night don't be surprised to be co-opted to maintain the log fire that occupies one end of the lounge. In the morning you will need an appetite for either the full English breakfast, vegetarian choice or a lighter continental selection. The choice is yours alone.

Malham is a small town of 150 inhabitants which happens to be one of the most visited villages in the Yorkshire Dales. We can see why. There are shops, pubs and teashops galore. Just what a serious walker, cyclist or family need before setting off for a strenuous walk up and around the many footpaths that criss-cross Malhamdale. For our less strenuously inclined visitors there are plenty of things to see in and around Malham village. Tea shop open 11.30 am - 5.30pm Tues-Sun all year.

Designed by John Dower, one of the most influential figures in the initiative to establish National Parks in Britain, this is a purpose-built Youth Hostel. Walking and cycling are the main attractions and the Pennine Way and Yorkshire Dales Cycleway both pass through this village at the heart of the Yorkshire Dales National Park.

A delightful converted railway station just a few hundred metres off the Pennine Way, midway between Skipton and Settle, just 4 miles from Malham. Magnificent residents lounge formed from the old waiting room with fabulous log burning stove. The perfect stopping point. Tudor House served as the station for Malham until 1959 and since the late1970's has welcomed thousands of guests who enjoy the tranquil setting, the walks, the birds and of course the trains!

Drumlins is a beautiful bungalow, furnished to a very high standard and situated in a quiet cul de sac off the A59, about 4 miles from Skipton - a delightful historic town with a thriving market and splendid castle. There are wonderful views of open countryside with undulating moors beyond. We are about 400 yards from the Pennine Way which runs alongside the canal between Thornton in Craven and Gargrave.

Hill Top Farm Barn is located adjacent to a seventeenth century farmhouse in the picturesque village of Malham. It's a peaceful setting, but close enough to Malham centre for pubs and restaurants. Please telephone for reservation. The bunk house can sleep up to 32 in 6 different sized bedrooms (11-8-6-3-2-2) on the ground floor. (Please bring sleeping bag). Also on the ground floor is a large drying room, and separate shower and toilet for disabled persons. £10 per person per night.
