Skipton is is one of the Yorkshire Dales` most delightful market towns overlooking the Aire Gap at the south western boundary of the Yorkshire Dales National Park
Skipton`s choice of specialist shopping is a dream, and the town boasts the historic Skipton Castle and popular family attraction Hesketh Farm Park sits just east of Skipton at Bolton Abbey.
The Leeds Liverpool canal which winds through the town offering ample opportunity for narrowboat trips. The Settle & Carlisle historic railway also winds its way past Skipton and the Embsay & Bolton Abbey Steam Railway starts at Embsay station just outside Skipton.
