About Oughtershaw
Set in its craggy landscape of boulders with patchy woodland, there is the Victorian hall with its slate roof and stone mullioned windows. There is a bunkhouse, a public telephone and a John Ruskin built school made of polished marble and there is a large Celtic cross that was built for Victoria's Jubilee.
