There is a cafe at the Lunedale garden centre in Newbiggin and the Black Swan Pub offers accommodation and a village shop. Nearby Newbiggin which is on the trail offers accommodation but no pub or shop.

The hotel is Victorian - built of Lakeland stone in about 1899. It has 10 attractive en-suite bedrooms, a restaurant, conference room, lounge bar, a 'back bar' and beautiful gardens. The bar serves a high quality of food and real ales, the non-smoking lounge with open fire. We are proud of our excellent reputation for fine food. Our restaurant offers a tasty á la carte menu and we also offer an extensive bar meal menu, with daily specials.
