We have stunning and uncrowded walks on our doorstep. FOR OUR GUESTS THE OLD VICARAGE PROVIDES: Spacious and elegant en-suite bedrooms with lots of hot water, fluffy towels, beverage tray and television. Open Fires on chilly days to relax by, in our sitting room and dining room (plus full central heating). Peaceful gardens in which to play croquet or simply relax. The hotel is Victorian - built of Lakeland stone in about 1899. It has 10 attractive en-suite bedrooms, a restaurant, conference room, lounge bar, a 'back bar' and beautiful gardens. The bar serves a high quality of food and real ales, the non-smoking lounge with open fire. We are proud of our excellent reputation for fine food. Our restaurant offers a tasty á la carte menu and we also offer an extensive bar meal menu, with daily specials. Whenever possible we use local produce, including Westmorland beef and lamb, local game and traditionally made cheeses.
