The hotel is Victorian - built of Lakeland stone in about 1899. It has 10 attractive en-suite bedrooms, a restaurant, conference room, lounge bar, a 'back bar' and beautiful gardens. The bar serves a high quality of food and real ales, the non-smoking lounge with open fire. We are proud of our excellent reputation for fine food. Our restaurant offers a tasty á la carte menu and we also offer an extensive bar meal menu, with daily specials. Whenever possible we use local produce, including Westmorland beef and lamb, local game and traditionally made cheeses.
