Drumnadrochit at the head of Urquhart Bay on Loch Ness is the centre of the Loch Ness Monster industry: The village hosts two competing exhibitions devoted to the beast first reported by St Columba in the 6th Century, and since the 1930s the subject of various fuzzy pictures and films. Overlooking the main junction in the centre of the village is the Original Loch Ness Monster Centre, which also offers monster-spotting cruises on Loch Ness. A couple of hundred yards along the A82 is the Loch Ness 2000 Exhibition housed in the imposing baronial building that used to form part of the Drumnadrochit Hotel At the heart of Drumnadrochit is a village green, complete with a stunning model in miniature hedges and plants of nearby Urquhart Castle. Surrounding it is a collection of picturesque cottages, cafes, plus an attractive village shop and post office. To the south of the green is the village`s main car park, complete with the Tourist Information Office, Further south still, is Lewiston, a planned village built in 1769. Not far beyond Lewiston is Urquhart Castle.

Morlea is a traditional Scottish house constructed in stone with spacious rooms dating from the 1800's built in this splendid location for Lady Grant the Lairds wife. To the rear of the house is farmland bisected by the river Enrick, to the front of the house is the village green. Our rooms are spacious and comfortable comprising one twin, one double and a family room, with en-suite and private facilities. Fiddler's has been a family-run business run by the Beach family since 1996. We have high standards of customer care and always provide value for money. Upstairs in Fiddler's we have comfortable rooms with a Scottish theme, top quality beds for the best sleep in the Highlands, en-suite toilets with "real" showers, t.v., tea & coffee making facilities & hairdryers . We serve a healthy continental breakfast in our Coffee Shop - fresh baked bread and croissants (baked just before you sit down), fruit, yoghurt, cold meats, cheeses and of course fresh brewed coffee and tea. Across the road from the restaurant we also have Oakdale our Victorian Villa with traditional and en-suite rooms. 2008 saw these rooms being refurbished and upgraded throughout. Room 1 is our luxury suite with en-suite power showering complete with underfloor heating. It has a super-king bed with the best quality bedding. Rooms 2 & 3 share a beautifully appointed bathroom complete with underfloor heating, power shower and bath with plenty of hot water. Breakfast as above is also served in Fiddler's Coffee Shop.
