This hamlet, situated at the point where Wharfedale becomes Langstrothdale (literally meaning 'long valley valley') consists of little more than a couple of farms, a lovely old church, with an elaborate rood loft and screen and a pub (the last until you reach Dentdale) called the George Inn, converted from the vicarage. Nearby is a bunkhouse barn. The popularity of the Dales Way walk has encouraged the opening of more accommodation in Langstrothdale, including both B&B and rooms in the pub at Hubberholme.

Nearest cashpoint is at Grassington.
