Comments by walkers who stayed at Victoria Hotel in Robin Hoods Bay on The Coast to Coast Path

A very good stay to end the coast to coast. A good sized room with bath. The breakfast was one of the best on the trip, lots of fresh fruit, cereal, and an extensive cooked breakfast menu. The staff were very attentive. Ate an evening meal in the bar and couldn't fault it. Would definitely stay again and would recommend.

We decided to stay to celebrate the completion of the C2C. An excellent choice. We got a free upgrade to a sea-facing room; and what a room it was. I never had a room with a nicer view!
Breakfast was great (I had some hot smoked mackerel which was very nice).
We also had dinner here, as most other places close on monday. Also dinner was great.
Staff was very friendly and accommodating, it was no problem at all to leave the luggage behind the counter for the day.
We loved Robin hood's bay! It seems so much nicer to end up here at the end of your trip than in StBees.

An imposing Victorian building at the top of the village. We had a very large room on the First floor with beautiful views over the bay. Large bathroom with bath and a great shower and inexhaustable supply of hot water. Dinner in the restaurant was poor and very like being on the set of Fawlty Towers. Breakfast was worse! First time I've ever seen a slice of porridge.

We stayed at the Victoria on Mon 22 June 2009, A welcome touch of luxury at the end of our Coast to Coast walk. Our room was excellent, the restaurant food fabulous, and the staff really helpful. The view of Robin Hoods Bay is terrific. We will definitely come back.

This was a great place to finish the coast to coast. Lovely large room with lounge area and a sea view. Grand entrance and staircase/landing with tiled floor and chandelier. Staff also really friendly and helpful, positively at odds with our perceptions of a big hotel. Good breakfast too. Well worth the extra.

Worth paying a bit extra for on the final night. Very big room with bath, sofa etc. Mind you we were too drunk to really appreciate it.

Great to have a bath and the bar food, particularly the kippers were great. My wife had finally finished the walk so could she could celebrate here in style!

Expensive - but absolutely worth it! This was the most 'sumptious' place I stayed in, in that my huge en-suite room had space for not only a bathroom and a big double bed, but also a sofa and armchair (plus all the other odds and sods you'd expect) and still have a very roomy feel. Frankly, I was thrilled skinny, and it was a fitting end to the achievement of the walk to sprawl on my lovely sofa and make those thousands of calls to tell people that you had just walked 190 miles and wasn't it fantastic!

The food in the bar was excellent, and moderately priced.

OK, it was expensive (for a single person - I guess I was charged a supplement) But I have to say it finished the walk in perfect style for me. A big double room, ensuite, luxuriously furnished. Very good value bar food, HUGE portions, very well cooked, and I thought the vegetarian choices were imaginative. Fresh fruit choice at breakfast and I departed a happy woman, finishing with a bang not a whimper!
