| Recommend staying here for 2 nights to break the Cheviot crossing into 2 stages. Excellent value for money. The pick up the friendly and helpful owner arranged to and from Cocklawfoot worked like a dream, everyone arriving at precisely the pre-arranged time and it really is an easy walk up from Cocklawfoot to Clennel St when you are fresh and only carrying a day sack. Loads of chocolate biscuit goodies in the room, wet socks in the tumble drier and ample hot water for all three of us to have long hot soaks in the bath. Breakfast takes a while as everything is individually cooked from super quality ingredients but as the last day is relatively short this doesn't matter. Need to like friendly animals though, cat, dog, gerbil, donkey! | |

| A wonderful warm welcome. The owner couldn't do enough for us she was absolutely delightful. We came in the evening and she made us some tuna sandwiches as we hadn't had any dinner and did not charge us.T he breakfast was wonderful - huge hearty breakfast. If I am ever in Kirk Yetholm again I will certainly come back to Valley Dene. | |

| I highly recommend this comfortable little B&B! We had such a warm welcome from our hostess and from her friendly dogs as well! A truly lovely place to end the PW. | |

| Very nice homely place to stay, lovely and warm and very good breakfast (when it arrived) - when stayed in July time was a newish owner and a bit underprepared for breakfast, had to wait a fair old while so if you have an early bus to make be sure to order breakfast well in advance! | |
