We loved the Sportsman Inn in Embleton. It was quite expensive, but we had the beautiful Room 4, with views of the sea in two directions. We spent quite a bit of time watching the sea and the farm animals below. The bathroom was small but functional. The food at the hotel was excellent, as was the wine selection. The fish dishes and particularly a spicy squid dish was very good. We were there in May, and it wasn't quite warm enough to eat on the terrace, but it looked as if if would be lovely. We stayed two nights. There are several nice pubs in Embleton for a drink before dinner.
