| We were well looked after, with a good evening meal at a cheap price, and lots to choose from at breakfast. | |

| A warm & friendly welcome. Comfortable ensuite room, The inn is next to a main road but I didn't find it too noisy. The food is excellent and not too expensive. | |

| This is a great village inn in the middle of nowhere. It's a good staging post on St Cuthbert's Way, and if you're looking for alternatives... there aren't any! But that's fine, we had a great night here. Simple rooms and restaurant, but old fashioned hospitality and hearty food, and a busy bar much used by locals. Recommend | |

| We loved it here. This was a really friendly pub with comfortable clean rooms and a fantastic shower. Having stayed here a year ago during the St Cuthbert's Way, we have just got back from a weekend using this pub as our base, just because it was so lovely. Fabulous food at reasonable prices and no problems with soggy, muddy walkers. Highly recommended. | |

| Arrived early and that gave us a chance to grab a drink in the beer garden which has wonderful views of the surrounding area. Evening meal was great and place is highly recommended. | |
