Stayed in May 2007. Greeted at reception by chef. Room was very nice, but tired. The room had not been cleaned correctly and towels were missing. No tea, coffee or milk, but was available after asking several times. The staff were young and inexperienced. The owner breezed in and out of the premises with no care for the staff or clients only their beloved horses. The meals were well below par and dirty knives and forks don't help, neither do cracked cups and chipped glasses. There was only one gentleman who seemed to be trying to hold things together, but he was looking to throw the towel in and leave. This place was run like a comedy film, and the cheek of it all is to still charge top prices. A shame really, when this must have been a wonderful place in it's day. Would love to go back, but along with all the other guests who were there at the time, definately would not until a change of ownership. Take my advise, choose Fawlty Towers, more user friendly.
