| Excellent. Very well decorated, clean, with good en-suite. nice visitors lounge. close to centre of Kendal. Very nice and helpful owners. Very good breakfast - the vegetarian fried breakfast meant double quantities of tomatoes and mushrooms - the first time we've had this happen, and is a sign of the attention to detail shown at the Sonata | |

| Great guest house with hosts who really make you feel at home. Comfy bedroom with en- suite bathroom.Huge breakfast with porridge offered instead of cereal.Easy walking distance into Kendal for evening meal, although on Sunday evening options were very limited. | |

| The welcome here was just right after a long day's walking. My room was very comfortable with a hot and powerful shower. The guest house is on the right side of town if you are walking in from Burneside, but you can also easily catch a bus in and out to the path if you want to. Genorous breakfast. | |

| We stayed at Sonata Guest House in June 2006. We had a very hard walk that day and were so relieved that our host gave us a ride from the Jolly Rogers pub to the B & B. He made us feel very much at home. The room was very nice and comfortable with an excellent shower and plenty of hot water. In the morning, we had a very good breakfast. An enjoyable stay. Thank you. | |
