| The hostess was very friendly and accomodating (even lending me one of her husband's shirts for a special dinner out!). The room was comfortable and well appointed. Breakfast was generous and good. The house has a patio that literally backs onto the River Swale. Highly recommended. | |

| Loved this B&B. The owner was so welcoming and had tea & cake with him in the lounge on a windown seat overlooking the River Swale. The room is at the top of the house - so steep fllights of stairs but if you're doing the Coast 2 Coast this shouldn't put you off! Room itself very quirky and pretty. Fabulous breakfast in the Music Room and then I was lent a coat & umbrella to go and look round Richmond in the rain, so my own gear wouldn't get wet before walking. Felt very at home here, and highly recommended. | |

| Lovely couple who served us tea and cakes in the terraced garden on arrival. Toiletries were great as has already been commented on, and the breakfast was really good too. Thoroughly recommended. | |

| Spent a lovely night here in May 2010. The landlady is cheerful and more than accommodating - we were served fresh baked goods on our arrival. The breakfast was sumptuous, just the ticket for starting a long day's hike. Be prepared for the dormer room with sloping roof, and for carrying bags up the afore-mentioned flights of steps. | |

| A lovely old house with two letting rooms right at the top with views either of the river or the castle. The house is four stories so make sure you can carry your cases up several flights of narrow stairs. A lovely breakfast and pleasant chat with the music teacher landlady. Certainly not a run of the mill B&B and recommended with the above proviso. | |
