Comments by walkers who stayed at Pottergate Guest House in Richmond on The Coast to Coast Path

Very welcoming and a well-run establishment for walkers. Efficient laundry service, nice warm room and excellent breakfast.

An excellent guesthouse and Barbara couldn't be any more helpful. I stayed here in 1998 when I first did the Coast to Coast and Barbara had only just taken over the business. In that time she has obviously taken the time and care to perfect her service, which is superb. Well done.

Very comfortable with a private bath! Sandwich for lunch wasn't great but breakfast was fine and the opportunity of having some washing done was a great help. It appeared, clean and dry, while we were eating breakfast.

Alright but lacking the cosy atmosphere of many in the Dales. Bed not very comfortable. We can certainly recommend the Indian restaurant just down the road. The best meal on the walk by far.

Addition to previous comments.

My packed lunch was tuna mayonaise sandwiches, this wasn't very pleasant as I am a vegetarian. I think we all know fish do not grow out of the ground. I was very hungry that day.
