| I had a lovely stay at Keld Bunkhouse when I was walking the Pennine Way this September! I was greeted by name on arrival and the owners made me very welcome. The bunkhouse is very comfortable - it is not big but all the space is well used, without cutting corners or stinting on guests' comforts. Everything is spottlessly tidy, too! There is a cosy kitchen/living room where you can relax. Many little touches show that the owners, Heather and Steve, really care for the comfort of their guests, including good lightning (I hate the way many places stint on proper light!), a well-thought out bathroom that had enough space and hooks to put things on (the bathroom/shower with nowhere to put your dry clothes is one of my pet peeves in accomodation of this kind - it is so easy to fix but most places never do!), comfortable furniture.... continental breakfast was included too and there are tasty home cooked meals available as well. I really enjoyed my stay! Highly recommended! | |
