Loved this house. We stayed after completing the C2C in early May and by now Margaret and Alan will have left to a well deserved retirement. Our final B&B and I got the sea view !!! Two 60 something ladies at the end of a journey, the rooms were spacious, clean and comfortable, we were allocated the suite at the top of the house with its own lounge. By coincidence my niece was over from Canada in time for our journeys end and managed to book into here as well. During her holiday she became engaged, now what am I supposed to do whilst walking the C2C ?... I rang 3 days ahead and asked if Margaret would purchase a bottle of bubbly to put in their room as a surprise, which she did, along with suitable glasses. We were all able to enjoy a double celebration. She was a superb host and I wish them both well. I hope the new owners do equally well, they have a hard act to follow.

We just can't get enough of Lee-Side. Margaret and Alan are wonderful hosts and most helpful in tips regarding travel, etc. The house is magnificent and the breakfast beats them all. This was our third C2C (2006, 2008 & 2011) and have stayed with them on each occasion.

Practically perfect!

Lee-side B&B was luxurious and good - professional operation though, so not as chatty as some places we stayed (which isn't necessarily bad thing).

Really helpful though with bus times, local tips etc.

We have stayed here twice, first on the Cleveland Way and next at the end of C2C and we would be more than pleased to come back. The house is so pretty and the rooms are so comfortable and beautiful. the perfect accommodation at the end of the trip, when you really feel in need of a bit of luxury. The breakfast was good and the owners are warm and friendly people.

This was a beautifully decorated, very comfortable B&B to end our walk. I loved the colors and the decor, as we has seen so many older homes on the route that needed new paint and carpet. The room was of ample size, close to the trail and just a bit away from the main action of RHB so that it was pleasantly quiet. The hostess gladly got us info about tranport back to Manchester airport. The breakfast was excellent and ample. A great place to finish!
