Comments by walkers who stayed at Jasmine House in Cleator on The Coast to Coast Path
Address is a bit confusing. We expected to walk to Cleator but were pleasantly surprised to be done with our first day in Moor Row. Almost walked past it though. Room was larger than most. Queen Bed. Hostess gave us ride to and from the Pub. Try the sticky toffee pudding. Best on the C2C. Wish we had carried a lunch. We didn't get to Enderdale Bridge until 3.

This is a great place to stay for the first night of the Coast to Coast walk. Very clean, bright and light accommodation. We were made to feel very welcome, and we were offered a lift to a local restaurant and back which was a great help. Many thanks.

Good honest accommodation. Free transport to the pub and back for an evening meal. Nice well kept house.

Lovely friendly B&B. Comfortable room, delicious breakfast and the proprietors kindly gave us a lift to and from the local hotel to get a meal in the evening.

Fantastic, friendly and very practical stay, especially for people walking the C2C. Good breakfast, very helpful couple who drive the guests to and from the walk, and to nice pubs in the evening. Highly recommended B&B!

Very welcoming and comfortable. After a wet afternoon (virtually the only rain of our 3 week walk!!!) Jean greeted us by telling us the heating was on to dry our clothes. John collected our luggage from the station (at 5 cheaper than a taxi). Highly recommended. We stayed 31 August 2012

Very convenient for a stop after a short first day, partricularly if arriving at St. Bees on Sherpa Van from Richmond. Friendly proprietor who ran me to evening meal, even going on into Whitehaven when it was found local hostelry wasn't serving food that night.

A friendly welcome and a good night's rest in a lovely home. The hosts kindly gave us a lift into Whitehaven to have dinner; there aren't any pubs/restaurants in Moor Row. A good stop-over option if you want to shorten your first day.
