| I second all the other comments. Tony and Charlotte make you feel like you are arriving home after doing the Cumbrian Way. Spacious beautiful rooms. My favorite room by far during the walk. Good breakfasts. Charlotte suggested a terrific Indian resturant a short walk away. If I do the Hadrian's Wall walk I will definitely book here again. Only one suggestion: I could do without the TV in the breakfast room. But maybe others appreciate it. | |

| Charlotte and Tony have made this B&B as an excellent final place to stay. Our room was very spacious, clean and well equipped. Breakfast great value and we ate at local pub called The Beehive. We also left our car here for the week at a good rate. | |

| A beautifully decorated room and hotel, well run by Charlotte and Tony. The cooked breakfast was the best of the walk. Highly recommended. We celebrated completing the walk Italian style at the Casa Romana, a 5 minute walk away, where the food was great. | |

| Howard Lodge Rocks! Charlotte and her partner had carried our luggage up three flights of stairs before we arrived, and I cannot stress enough how nice that was after walking 72 miles. The room was excellent: clean, comfy, and pretty. Their rate is a bargain especially for the personal attention they provide. Wonderful B&B | |
