This was a treat. Just opposite Dove cottage and in a lovely setting, a beautiful property. Kate was so warm and welcoming. Massive room with fireplace and a truly luxurious bathroom. The dining area for breakfast was also beautifully done, a luxury staying here.

A lovely big old house, we were made very welcome. A large room with a bath. Nicely cooked breakfast with lighter options available, the pancakes were very good. Would definitely recommend. I also recommend nearby Potted Out for an evening meal. The staff were very friendly and attentive, the food and wine were excellent and not too expensive.

Stayed here whilst doing the C2C in early September. This was one of the best B&B's we stayed in, very large accommodation including a very welcome bath. Breakfast the best of our walk everything you could want including a fresh fruit salad. have already recommended this B&B to friends.

Two nights spent here towards end of east-west c-to-c, so we were tired and very much appreciated huge room/bathroom (with bath!) and comfy bed in this lovely old house next door to the Wordsworth Museum (well worth visit if spending two nights here).

Breakfast was one of the best we ate anywhere with everything we wanted including very welcome fresh fruit so often not available.

Atmosphere is laid-back and well geared to walkers with muddy boots. A great place to stay.

V nice Italian restaurant next door, run by same family.

Two mad Mums from Sussex Mountain Biking the Coast 2 Coast as closely as B-Ways allowed. 5th Sept 2009.

After a long day in the rain and wind we were greeted by Kate, who insisted on us coming straight in dripping wet including our bikes! We declined the bike offer but were very grateful to get into a warm toasty hotel. The heating was on in our fantastic room and the rest of the Hotel was warm and cosy too.
Very spacious room and plenty of radiators to dry our cloths on. The added touch of memory foam on the bed was a class act. I'm very boney! My best nights sleep.
Nothing was too much trouble.
The evening meal across the way was excellent owned by Kate's husband and my pancakes at breakfast were delicious. Too many for me, but Kate was happy for me to pack them up for a lunch stop later! Have you ever tried cold pancakes? Can't beat them. Thanks Kate for a very enjoyable stay.
