| If your walking west to east then this is the perfect stop along the way. Very friendly and great breakfast. We were taken to the local pub which serves great food. they even dropped us off at the top of the road (to rejoin the path) in the morning to begin our walk again. would really recommend. | Yes, seemed a long trek out of Chollerford, but such a nice lady who drove us to the pub for a splendid meal and also took us on a tour of the village! The room was warm and comfortable, not en-suite but a bath on the landing with loads of hot water! She made the most delicious porridge for breakfast too! Would recommend. | |

| 2 miles on from Chollerford itself, which meant a lond days walking to get to it, but a very friendly reception when we got there. Definately one to recommend. | |
