| We had a lovely spacious room with views on the churchyard. For dinner we discovered a very special restaurant in Painswick. The name is Cotswald 88. It is very design, the owner is a popartist. But if you are a foodlvver, next to being a walker, I advise you to visit 88. | |

| This was the ideal place to end a full day of walking. The room was massive, warm, clean and very romantic. The only complaint was that the staff were not very welcoming. When the accommodation is sold as a haven for those walking the cotswolds, don't expect all people coming in the door to look like the clean middle-aged couple that was served as a priority over us!
