Comments by walkers who stayed at Elim Lodge in Bowness and Windermere on The Dales Way

Warm welcome. Caters well for walkers. Nice clean room and good breakfast.

Super place to celebrate completion of our walk. We stayed 2 nights. Rodger and Linda couldn't have been more helpful. The fact that they are themselves walkers helps them to understand the needs of others. We wiould really recommend this place.

Stayed here on the final night of our walk. Easy to find, good location. Friendly hosts. Comfy clean room on top floor, mind your head on the beams. Good breakfast.

We spent the night here on 29.4.09 after completing our final day, on the Dalesway, in the sunshine. It was a super, welcoming B&B for us and our dog. Very friendly, comfy bed, great breakfast. Real luxury after 6 nights in a tiny tent on the route! Only sorry we had to rush off very quickly to catch our train back to Ilkley. Will certainly visit again.

We had the 'character double' on the top floor. Lovely comfortable room with everything we needed and a nice view. Convenient for the town and lake.

A warm welcome and a pleasant place to spend our last night. We loved the attic room and appreciated the fair trade coffee and tea. Nice to see
