| Pub is full of character and serves good food. There was a very entertaining folk duo playing the night we were there. We stayed in the lodges over the road. Room was spacious but decor was tired and the stay was spoiled by the heating not working and virtually no hot water. | |

| The Drovers was a welcome sight after 22 miles slog from Balmaha in the driving rain. Initially disappointed to be put in the Lodges across the road which were shoddy. For the price I thought the bags could have been dragged across the road for us. Reception staff not very receptive. Having said that, this was one of our best memories of the walk due to the live music. He had the bar eating our of his hand and singing along to all the old classics. Would reccomend for this reason. | |

| This is a great place for your evening meal - full of atmosphere and very good food. However, I would not recommend staying here if you can avoid it. We were put in a room in The Lodge over the road, and it was shoddy and poorly equipped. Definitely overpriced for what you get. The breakfast was not good either. | |

| We did not stay here but had a really memorable evening. Great food and service. Fantastic atmosphere with Robert Plant's grandfather providing the entertainment! | |

| A strange place, but lovely with it. Don't expect all mod cons if you stay in the original inn. The bar is cosy with open fires and the evening meals good. | |
