Comments by walkers who stayed at Clarence Dene in Robin Hoods Bay on The Coast to Coast Path

At the end of the C2C this is a great place to pause before you have to head home. Our only regret was to stay only one night as we had to get back to normal life. The owners were wonderful and the quality of their service was top class.

Louise provides and warm and comfortable place to stay at 'the end of the road' and somewhere to rest the weary feet! Good food, and Louise was very helpful with information on getting around after the walk. Thank you.

A nice place to stay at the end of the walk.

Welcoming hosts and a good clean room.

Conveniently placed at the top of the hill coming back from the beach. Also, handy for the bus stop for the 6.30pm bus into Whitby for a fish supper at the Magpie.

The smoked salmon and scambled eggs were a great option, and well prepared, after 12 straight days of full English.

Very nice. Priced about right for the standard of accommodation and facilities offered. Nice clean room and not stingy with the in-room tea and coffee making gear. The breakfast was very good, too. After two weeks of cooked breakfasts it was nice to be offered a kipper with poached eggs (which was delicious). Yes, Id be happy to recommend the Clarence Dene. Date of stay: June 2011.

A very nice place to stay. The owners were friendly and welcoming, the room was clean and stylish with all mod cons, and dog friendly too.

A special mention for the breakfast, we had the smoked salmon and scrambled egg option, which was delicious.

A great B&B!
It is in the upper town but not far from where the old town starts. The room we had was charming and very comfortable. Free wifi provided.
Breakfast was excellent.
We stayed for two nights to enjoy the charming welcome of Clarence Dene House and the lovely village of Robin Hood's Bay.
Warmly recommended!

Nice large room and was able to sit outside on the balcony and watch the world go by. Great breakfast with lots of choice. Would definately recommend - one of the best B&Bs we stayed in.

What a pleasant sight, RHB and this lovely guest house. Again a very warm welcome from our hosts, who directed us to the slipway and the pub.

Three of us shared a large room at the front of the house with ensuite facilities, two of the group shared the other room.

After a shower and cups of tea, we found our way to a local eatery and enjoyed our last night together in lovely surroundings.

Breakfast was excellent with Whitby kippers on the menu what else could one have.

Great place and great food. Plus right on the c2c route.
