Brompton Lakes is a delightful place. We had some family coming to join us for the last few days of the walk, so we booked a lodge for 2 nights so we could take a day off to rest and that would accommodate the extra people. The lodges themselves are gorgeous and very comfortable indeed and the staff extremely helpful. Call a taxi to run you back into Richmond to stock up on provisions and then put your feet up for 24 hours. Highly recommended.
