A lovely hotel and a little oasis from the toils of the walk. It was the only accommodation we stayed in on the route that had a bath and it was much appreciated. However, we stayed in room 8 and the bath tap would not switch off at all. This happened twice but the staff responded very quickly indeed and were very polite. After the second time, complimentary drinks with our dinner were offered by way of apology. The room was very comfortable though and quite spacious. The evening meal was fantastic and it was nice to sit in such a splendid dining room. The breakfast choice was excellent too. My husband had eggs benedict and I had smoked haddock which was superb. We would definitely stay here again.

Wonderful hotel, worth every penny, but one needs to book well in advance. I had a cozy, well-equipped room overlooking the Bridge, and there was a bathtub to soak sore muscles. Delicious dinner, nice choices on menu, obliging, well-mannered staff. Earlier breakfast offered, and it was also very good

We stayed in the bunk house whilst walking the west highland way - never again! The rooms are minute and in midge season no windows can be opened. Maybe ok in the cooler days but not over the summer. There are no cooking utensils - only a kettle and microwave no plates, cups etc. Staying in the hotel is very pricey so out of our budget

It is worth creating an itinerary to stay at this hotel if you are walking the West Highland Way. This is probably the best hotel on the route and one of the few where you will enjoy an excellent meal with a stunning view from the dining room. The service is superb and you can do your washing here too. Smoked haddock breakfast was exquisite.

I stayed in the bunkhouse in May 2008. For 13 it was fine, I had a room with 3 bunks to myself. Washroom etc was down the corridor. Very good value although because of the location there is nowhere else to eat so if you eat in the hotel breakfast will set you back about 10 and the evening meal, from memory, was just under 20 for 2 courses. However the location was great and lots of other walkers to chat with. I would definitely stay there again.

Stayed here with my mom during our WHW trip - I was hoping for something special, as this was the most expensive place we stayed. Lovely setting, but forgettable hotel. Quite disappointing, really.
