Comments by walkers who stayed at Blue Bell Inn in Kettlewell on The Dales Way
Stayed at the Blue Bell Inn the night of June 23 2016 while walking the Dales Way. The room was comfortable and everyone very helpful and friendly. We also had supper at the Blue Bell Inn that evening and it was great!

Our bags were already here (thank you Sherpa Van) and the welcome we got was genuinely warm. We were delighted to have the experience of staying in this fine old pub, full of life and history and local flavor. Our room was good, and the food we had was just what we hoped for. The town of Kettlewell is worth exploring as it is an opportunity to see how

Stayed here May 13th and received the warmest welcome of all the places we stayed at. The food was amazing as well.

Accommodated at short notice due to our chosen B & B double booking. Made to feel welcome and the room was reasonable if somewhat small. The pub itself was warm and cosy. Providing you are hungry, do try the meat and potato pie.

If you stay here try the legendary meat & potato pie. We were recommended it from Wharfe View Farm the day before and we were not disappointed.
Unable to decide on which beer to try I was offered the sampler of 1/3 of a pint of each - brilliant!
Watch out for the pub dog - daft as a brush!
I'd have this place as my local anytime.
And yet another hearty breakfast to set us on our way.

An enjoyable stay with friendly staff who made us feel very welcome. The bedroom was in the modern annexe and provided clean and comfortable accommodation. The evening meal and hearty breakfast were very good.

This was not our first choice. You enter through the bar which all looks a bit grotty and dare I say dirty. Rooms are small & ours was not very clean. Was certainly warm enough which we needed as poured all day. Food ok.

When we staggered, sodden, into the Blue Bell Inn, our spirits lifted at the sight of the wonderful array of Copper Dragon real ales - yum! This establishment is run like clockwork by a really efficient manageress/owner and she and her staff are helpful and friendly. Bit disappointed that the room (en-suite) was in a modern annexe rather than in the lovely building itself, but this did not detract in any way from our enjoyment. The atmosphere, together with an excellent evening meal (lamb shank on creamy mash with leeks) plus a good hearty breakfast made this one of our favourite stop overs.

Stayed on 17 Sept 06 - we had booked a long time ago and were charged (thanks) 45 pounds - I think that the current tariff of 65 is a bit much for a very simple place, and looking at what we payed at other places. Having said that, it's fine, and the breakfast options are

We were greeted warmly by the staff and settled down to a good pint of Copper Dragon ale. The room was clean and spacious. The evening was very busy, but the food was good and the service prompt and friendly. Breakfast was huge and again served with a smile. Great place to stay and we would stay again in the future

As we were walking the Dalesway accompanied by our small Welsh sheepdog, we were pleased to find a place to stay that was so welcoming to walkers and dogs. This is a charming traditional country inn full of character. Rooms are simple but adequate. The lunchpacks provided were generous.

When we stayed the new management were running a special promotion Sundays to Thursdays, so the accommodation was exceptionally good value.
