The house is just off the main street, which means it's far enough away to be quiet but near enough to get to the pubs and cafes. The room was very comfortable and the Northumberland breakfast substantial! I had booked for two nights in order to have a rest day. I didn't realise that the owner likes guests to be out of the house between 10am to 4pm. She was very understanding about my mistake and it wasn't a problem. The house would be fine for a one night stay but Wooler itself doesn't have enough of interest to keep you out of the house for a whole day.
